University campus rollout of Foodifox smart lockers
In 2024, the University of New South Wales partnered with Foodifox to roll out smart lockers across Goldstein dining hall.
The goal: Students are able to access better meals, caterers can exact quality control and UNSW provide an innovative tech service that creates an improved student experience.
UNSW wanted to improve the late-meal experience for students who would previously had to locate and reheat their allocated meals from a refrigerator, often leading to meal mix-ups.
Foodifox integrated with UNSW's external student platform to enable scheduled late-meal orders. Once a student places an order via the app, they are assigned a heated smart locker for contactless pick-up.
Students can collect their meal by scanning a unique QR code on their phone to open a secure cubicle and give them access to their hot meal.
The UNSW project demonstrates how large institutions can benefit from smart locker integration, providing safe, efficient, and contactless delivery infrastructure that supports both convenience and sustainability.
We’re already helping streamline groundfloor deliveries and connect brands with residents at leading sites across Australia; including UniLodge, Scape, The Switch, and UNSW. With new locations joining the Foodifox network every month.
Smart delivery and in-building media are already here.
